What's the Worst That Could Happen?
Roger Weeks

Roger Weeks (he/they), a gay Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, grew up in the tranquil beauty of New Hampshire, raised by his single mother in a small town where the sounds of nature fueled his early love for music. After his mother's passing, Roger moved to Los Angeles, where his music has continued to resonate with a growing audience. His 2023 single "North Dakota,” a song about finding love in being alone and the journey to self-acceptance, went viral and garnered over 5 million views. In 2024, they opened for acclaimed folk singer/songwriter Hazlett at the Mission Theater in Portland, OR, and performed at the Open Folk showcase at LA’s Hotel Cafe. Roger Weeks (he/they), a gay Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter, grew up in the tranquil convergence of New Hampshire's dense forests and serene lakes, raised by his single mother in a small town. Surrounded by the natural symphony of crickets, crackling campfires, and forest sounds, he developed an early appreciation for music. Roger's journey into songwriting was a natural progression, turning their coming-of-age experiences into intimate bedroom-pop folk songs. After his mother passed away, Roger moved to Los Angeles with a renewed sense of purpose and a spark of vision, determined to transform his grief into a powerful musical journey. Influenced heavily by Noah Kahan, Kacey Musgraves, and Taylor Swift, he has since crafted a sound that blends emotional depth with vulnerable and authentic storytelling. His music also draws inspiration from the compelling balladry of Lewis Capaldi, the sweet pop vocals of Shawn Mendes, and the introspective indie vibe of Gracie Abrams, creating a unique sound that is entirely his own. In 2023, Roger released a cover of Hilary Duff's "Come Clean," which has been featured on Spotify's Sad Covers playlist for over a year. He later released "North Dakota," a song about finding love in being alone and the journey to self-acceptance– This track resonated widely, going viral on TikTok and Instagram with over 5 million views. Roger has consistently gone viral on Instagram Reels and TikTok and has amassed a loyal and engaged audience. Roger's goal with his music is to make others feel less alone in life. Having been through so much himself, he aims for his music to be a vessel to help others heal and feel understood. In 2024, they opened for acclaimed folk singer/songwriter Hazlett at the Mission Theater in Portland, OR, and performed at the Open Folk showcase at LA’s Hotel Cafe. Roger’s debut album is set to come out on women-owned independent If This Then Records in the spring of 2025.
